What is body acne?
Body acne is simply the acne that appears on your body. I've had to deal with my fair share of it, and I have to say that it is yuck!
Body acne often hurts worse than regular acne. That is because the skin on your body has bigger pores than the skin on your face, making your body acne bigger, deeper, and harder to get rid of.
I will go over 3 home remedies for acne on your body in this article and discuss whether or not they work.
Home remedy #1.
Toothpaste. This is the silliest of all the home remedies that I will be talking about today, but some people swear that toothpaste really works to get rid of body acne.
To use toothpaste to combat body acne, all you need to do is apply the white paste kind directly to the zit. It won't hurt you, and it may make your skin smell minty, but in my experience it won't help heal the acne either. I'd personally just pass on this one.
Home remedy #2
Witch Hazel. This one is a little better. Witch Hazel is a natural astringent and can be found in any drug store or pharmacy for just a few dollars a bottle.
To use witch hazel as a remedy for acne, simply put it on a cotton ball and apply to the acne. You will probably notice that it is very soothing. For mild cases of body acne this treatment can help.
Home remedy #3
Over the counter products that contain Salicylic Acid. For mild to moderate acne (and sometimes even severe cases) a solution with Salicylic Acid is often the body acne treatments you can do at home.
It's even better if you have a body wash that contains both Salicylic Acid and Citric Acid, as these two ingredients work together to clear acne fast.
This body acne home remedy is a little pricier than others at about $20 a month, but it gives you some of the best weapons to get rid of body acne and keep it from coming back. - 15683
