Total Cleanse Colon Cleaner Review

By Peter Wood

I've seen Total Cleanse advertised rather heavily lately on the internet so I decided to make it my next review. Unfortunately I don't have much good to report about Total Cleanse as a product or as company to purchase from. This brief synopsis of my full review of Total Cleanse will give you a glimpse of what this colon cleanser (doesn't) have to offer.

When I review colon cleanse products I almost always start with the ingredients. Total Cleanse gave me some difficulty in these regards since they don't list their ingredients anywhere on the website. They do state how important it is to consume dietary fiber, so I think it's safe to assume that it at least contains fiber of some sort. Obviously, the fact that they don't disclose the ingredients is a bit of a red flag.

The first that you'll notice when visiting their website is that they offer a 'free trial.' Not so bad right? It's free right? Not so fast. It turns out that by accepting the free trial offer you are automatically enrolled in their autoship program in which they will automatically mail you more product every month until you cancel the program. This 'free trial' gives you 15 days to call and cancel. If you don't, you can expect a charge for $78.84 for the pills plus $5.96 for shipping and handling.

First off all, this is way too expensive and second of all, it bothers me that they hide that information in fine print. If they made it so that every customer could easily see that that's what they are really doing when getting the free trial, then I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. But what bothers me is It appears they are trying to quickly get your credit card information and wait for you to not cancel so they can start racking up credit card with their sky high charges.

In addition to their shady sales process, they have a very one-sided guarantee. In order to get your refund you have to call and get an authorization number. By the way, we've seen complaints that people are having a hard time getting ahold of them at the given number. But if you do end up returning the product, they charge you a 30% restocking fee. Oh and did I mention that you only have 15 days from the start date to return it?

It appears that all of the above mentioned concerns are quite real. ComplaintsBoard.com had numerous complaints that confirm that many of these things are taking consumers by surprise. You may also find it interesting that the Better Business Bureau rated them at an 'F.'

So in summary: the price is very high, we don't know what ingredients it contains, their guarantee isn't very good, and they use shameful marketing and sales tactics to seemingly take advantage of consumers. I don't know about you, but it doesn't seem too enticing to me. - 15683
