Treatments for No More Cellulite

By Lara G Giddins

It is often stated that liposuction is the best way to remove cellulite from the body. While this may be the case, not everyone wants to have surgery to reduce their cellulite. This may be because they dislike the idea of something invasive or simply can't afford the procedure. Luckily, there are many alternative treatments available.

These treatments can include homemade body scrubs, diet and exercise changes, as well as spa treatments such as laser therapy, radio waves and body wraps. All have their advantages and disadvantages but can nonetheless provide an effective cellulite solution at a reasonable price.

The home method of using a body scrub is a simple and easy way to start losing cellulite. Find some lotion or moisturizer and add some dry coffee. Massage this lotion into the skin where the cellulite is present. Coffee has very strong anti-cellulite properties as well as seaweed.

Exercise can be a cost effective treatment for cellulite. Cardiovascular exercise will help you burn fat and cellulite, while strength training will help tone the muscles and increase the amount of calories that you burn during the day. Experiment with swimming, running or playing sport as way to get your exercise done.

Making changes to your diet can also have a major impact on the level of cellulite in your body. Examine the amount of fat and sugar that you eat everyday and work hard to reduce these levels over the coming weeks.

Self-massage can also be an effective home therapy. This involves using kneading and circular motions to massage the skin and fat, and many women swear by this technique.

Of course, you don't have to rely solely on cheap home techniques. Most beauty spas have plenty of machines at their disposal that they can expertly use to help you in your goal to lose cellulite.

A popular spa treatment involves using a Endermologie machine. The machine rolls over the cellulite to flatten and smooth the dimpled skin and to make the blood circulate the skin.

A treatment that involves sound waves is Acoustic Wave Therapy. The sound waves are sent through the skin to help the fat beneath to be removed by the body.

If all these treatments are not suitable for you then there is always liposuction. This is a plastic surgery technique which involves having the fat sucked out with a vacuum. It is very common and has a high success rate. Your surgeon will have more information on liposuction if you are interested. - 15683
