Awareness is one of the most important factors in maintaining good health and staying away from sickness and diseases. With today's high medical costs , it is no joke to get sick. And because of this, many people are looking for different ways to stay healthy.

Staying healthy means having lifestyle changes and eating the right kinds of foods at the right amount. Keep away from harmful devices like smoking and excessive alcohol drinking, and most importantly, changing your life to the fullest. One thing that is gaining popularity nowadays is the detox diet. Detox diet is the process of neutralizing and eliminating toxins from the body. A detox diet includes the use of different herbs and supplements. It generally suggests a high intake of food like fresh vegetables, fruits, beans and nuts while cutting down on sugar, caffeine, yeast and alcohol.

So basically the idea behind a detox diet is to avoid temporarily the foods that are known to produce toxins. Most detox diets also encourages you to go through colonic irrigation or enema to flush out toxins inside the colon. It is done to purify and purge your body from all the bad stuff.
