Procrastinate On Everything Else, But Not Diamond Jewelry

By Don Pedro

All the juicy properties of diamond collectively make it an important industrial and scientific material. It is so unique that people would pay a lot of money to own it and show it off. Now you know why it is perhaps the richest material that is usable for jewelry.

The way into a woman's heart is to get her a diamond rock on a ring. Or you could get her a necklace of top quality diamonds that sparkle like the stars in the sky. No, brighter. The kiss you get will probably be the best you have had since you asked her to marry you!

There are all kinds of diamonds. You've got white, black, red, pink and blue. Black diamonds are called carbonados. Most people don't believe they come from earth, although how they got here then beats me.

It is easy to condemn all those that have fought and killed each other over the diamond because you have never held the piece in your hand. The day you do, pray you have the will to resist that lure, for it might be your undoing. Diamonds are more than just myth; they are life.

No one blames anyone for wanting to own a diamond jewel; we all do. Save for those who have never even come close to the gem, everyone wants to own a few diamonds, or at least one. It is why the world is the way it is; ugliness looking for beauty within itself.

Where the diamond is found, there are all kinds of stones and rocks that are totally worthless. Whereas the diamond dwells among them and shines still. And so it is in every facet of life. It remains beautiful through all the imperfections of the world around it.

The volcanic rocks, amongst which we find diamonds in their raw form, are much younger than the diamonds themselves. But as they journey forcefully upward, being expelled by the earth, they bring with them these priceless gifts from the bowels - diamonds. So are born the greatest jewels in the world.

Scientists study the diamond and have determined that some pieces are as old as 3 billion years! Wow! The power you feel when you hold such a gem in your hands; the elevation when you wear it on your person. Worth any amount you are asked to pay for it.

Would you believe this? Some diamonds are actually thought to have an extraterrestrial origin. They are the black variety of the priceless stones, known as carbonados. I suppose they are called diamond because they have certain similar characteristics, but I doubt they are so much used as gems. - 15683
