Prevention of skin aging and wrinkling

By Julie Samtsonn

Let's face it, part of getting older is skin aging causing wrinkling and sagging. When the first fine lines and wrinkles appear, it is time to panic and start buying anything on the market that promises to get rid of the fine lines and wrinkles, all the different anti aging creams and anti wrinkle creams. The science of skin aging, would say that the damage is done by the time lines and wrinkles appear, and anything used topically would be for the purpose of reducing the appearance, but not making them go away, unless done surgically. This is where many people go looking for the fountain of youth.

Skin aging progresses and starts in the early years, with over-exposure to the sun, and climates of dry, cold winters, and hot summers and all the external elements that cause oxidants to attack the skin cells and accelerate the fat stores in cells, that hold the vitamins and hydration to keep them appearing plump. Once the fat stores are reduced, they start to shrivel and dry and do not reproduce new cell growth as quickly. The turnover of cells slows, to where the outer layer of skin is composed of older, more weathered cells. These older cells appear dull, lack a glow, and facial muscle contractions have started forming intense wrinkles in the form of smile lines, frown lines, brow lines, crow's feet and general sagging from the beginning breakdown of facial muscles, and many rush to the aid of anti-aging creams and anti wrinkle creams to help reduce the appearances.

The best way to prevent aging skin is to limit sun exposures, especially in the hottest parts of the day. Always use sun block to limit UV ray exposures when in the sun. Sunglasses will help block UV rays and protect the fine skin in the eye area. Avoid Tanning Beds, these use UV rays that accelerate tanning and are worse than regular sun exposure. They do not provide the natural nutrients or benefits from normal sunlight, either. Eat a healthy diet, rich in fruits and vegetables and high in anti-oxidants, that will help promote healthy cell production and eliminate toxins. Take vitamins and supplements like Vitamins A, C and E, which promote healthy skin cell growth. Don't smoke, for many health reasons. However, for skin, the oxidants caused by smoking reduce skin cell turnover and repetitive facial gestures, like pursing lips, cause fine lines and wrinkles.

Use anti-oxidants enriched skin care solutions that promote hydrating, as dry skin cells will make you look older so they should be exfoliated. Focus around the eye area, because this is where aging begins first with puffiness and fine lines, around the thinner skin in the area. Retinol A products will remove dead, dry skin cells that are found in the form of chemical peel. This will show the healthy, new cells underneath and enhance new cell growth, elastin and collagen production.

These hints can help prevent premature aging, as well as this anti-ageing creams and anti wrinkle creams. Don't wait until you begin to see the signs to start trying to prevent aging skin symptoms. - 15683
