Who is Vince Delmonte? Can You Trust Him?

By Caitlin Ryan

Vince Delmonte is a fitness trainer and the co-author (along with Shannon Clark) of the No Nonsense Muscle Building program. There are plenty of reviews on this muscle-building program, some for and some against. If you have been working like a dog in the gym and are still sporting flabby arms and a soft stomach, you may want to read this review on Vince Delmonte to see if he will be a help or hindrance in your muscle building efforts.

First and foremost, when a person writes a book about building muscle, you would hate to find out that the person is a scrawny fellow or worse yet, flabby. I can tell you that Vince Delmonte looks like he knows what he is talking about. Nevertheless, has he done this with his own program or by using steroids or supplements? He is a natural body builder meaning he does not use any sort of steroids, drugs or unnatural supplements (if any at all).

As a matter of fact, he gives a scalding review of top body building magazines revealing the fact that many are actually OWNED by supplement companies! The magazines are a merely a voice for advertisements. As well, Vince points out why their myriad of workout techniques has failed you and others who wanted to build their muscle mass and lower their body fat.

His book exposes muscle building myths that I have actually fallen prey to! I thought circuit training was a great way to get a toning workout in a short amount of time. Apparently, there is not enough recovery time in between sets and you fail to develop your muscles. That is only one of the MANY myths that I was surprised to learn.

Many women, like me, do NOT want to build huge muscles unless of course they are professional, competitive body builders. For this reason, I have always done high reps with low weights so I did not build mass. This is another myth exposed in the muscle-building program. You need progressive overload in order to develop toned muscles. This means that you have to continually increase your weight, but this does not mean that you will develop large muscles IF you follow No Nonsense Muscle Building.

The way I was lifting, I was only developing endurance muscles that were long and skinny. There is no way that I would ever have triceps muscles like Sarah Jessica Parker. I would not develop those sexy curves at the back of my arms.

No Nonsense Muscle Building also explains the extreme importance in recovery time. We all push ourselves so much in the gym (the old no pain no gain), but if we do not allow for recovery in between sets and in between work outs, we will not see any results for all of that work. Vince has some clever tips on how to speed up this recovery time.

He also has some very clever advice on proper nutrition (clean eating). Vince has also written some very important motivational techniques and advice on how to get in the groove and stick with the program. It is also a pretty good deal in terms of cost with I believe, eight bonuses? Maybe more. - 15683
